The official currency of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the BAM – Bosnian Convertible Mark.

Currency can be exchanged at banks, exchange offices, post offices and most travel agencies. Although in addition to the Bosnian mark, the

Euro, US dollar, pound sterling and Kuna are normally accepted in almost all establishments, so it is not usually necessary to change currency.
Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept credit cards, you must make sure with the bank before starting the trip that they are correctly activated for use in Bosnia.

The electricity voltage in the city is 220V, frequency 50 HZ and the type of plug is type F, the most common in Europe, which accepts two types of plug.

The time zone in Medjugorje is GMT+1 in winter and GMT+2 in summer.

In Medjugorje there are pharmacies and a First Aid Room located west of the Sanctuary, near the parking lot. The medical staff of the Order of Malta guarantees the care of pilgrims and parishioners daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., from May 1 to November 1.

In the town of Citluk, near Medjugorje, there is a hospital.

It is important that each pilgrim carry their own medication. Because it can be complicated to find the same medication.
