The third day of the Novena at Apparition Hill, today Wednesday, June 18, saw a significantly larger number of people compared to previous days.
Something similar happened last year during the nighttime novena; the number of those responding to Our Blessed Mother’s invitation to pray for peace increased as the anniversary day approached.
Third Day of the Novena: Apparition Hill with the visionary Marija in Medjugorje
When Marija Pavlović-Lunetti arrived next to the statue of Our Blessed Mother, we began to pray the Rosary, and during the fifth Luminous Mystery, which was led by the visionary, the apparition of Our Lady occurred and lasted for several minutes.
After the apparition, as on the previous days, we again prayed the Magnificat, the litanies, and St. Francis’ prayer for peace.
“When Our Blessed Mother appeared, I entrusted all of us to her—our intentions and everything we hold in our hearts—and all the people who couldn’t come here but are in our prayers. I especially asked Our Blessed Mother to intercede before her Son, Jesus for peace in our hearts, peace in our families, and peace throughout the whole world. Our Blessed Mother prayed over us for a long time and blessed us all. With the sign of the cross, she blessed us and went back to Heaven,” said Marija, recounting the moment she experienced with the Gospa (Our Lady).
The visionary added:
“I encourage you to make these days days of prayer for peace, because Our Blessed Mother asks us to pray for peace. Pray not only here when you are on the Hill of Apparitions, but throughout the entire day. Now we will ask the priests to pray over us and bless us as well.”
She then invited everyone to pray the Glorious Mysteries while descending from Podbrdo along the path toward the Blue Cross.
