Veni Creator Spiritus
Come, Holy Spirit, Creator blest,
and in our souls take up Thy rest;
come with Thy grace and heavenly aid
to fill the hearts which Thou hast made.
O comforter, to Thee we cry,
O heavenly gift of God Most High,
O fount of life and fire of love,
and sweet anointing from above.
Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts are known;
Thou, finger of God’s hand we own;
Thou, promise of the Father, Thou
Who dost the tongue with power imbue.
Kindle our sense from above,
and make our hearts o’erflow with love;
with patience firm and virtue high
the weakness of our flesh supply.
Far from us drive the foe we dread,
and grant us Thy peace instead;
so shall we not, with Thee for guide,
turn from the path of life aside.
Oh, may Thy grace on us bestow
the Father and the Son to know;
and Thee, through endless times confessed,
of both the eternal Spirit blest.
Now to the Father and the Son,
Who rose from death, be glory given,
with Thou, O Holy Comforter,
henceforth by all in earth and heaven.

Prayer for Day 1
Only one thing is important: eternal salvation. Therefore, only one thing must be feared: sin.
Sin is the result of ignorance, weakness, and indifference.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Light, Strength, and Love.
With His seven gifts, He enlightens the mind, strengthens the will, and inflames the heart with the love of God.
To secure our salvation, we must invoke the Divine Spirit daily, because:
“In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groanings.” Romans 8:26
Message from Our Blessed Mother June 2, 1984
“Dear children! Tonight I wish to tell you during the days of this novena to pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on your families and on your parish. Pray, and you shall not regret it. God will give you gifts by which you will glorify Him till the end of your life on this earth. Thank you for having responded to my call.”
Let us Pray
Almighty and eternal God,
who have come down to regenerate us with water and the Holy Spirit,
and have granted us the forgiveness of all sins,
please send down upon us from heaven
the seven gifts of Your Spirit:
the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding,
the Spirit of Counsel and Fortitude,
the Spirit of Knowledge and Piety,
and fill us with the Spirit of Holy Fear.

Consecration to the Holy Spirit
O Holy Spirit, receive the perfect and absolute consecration of my entire being.
Deign to be, from this moment on, in every moment of my life and in each of my actions: my Director, my Light, my Guide, and my Strength.
I surrender myself without reserve to Your divine operations and desire to always be docile to Your inspirations.
O Holy Spirit, transform me with Mary and in Mary, into Christ Jesus, for the glory of the Father, the increase and sanctification of priests, and the salvation of the world.
